From the Chief,

My Fellow Arrowmen,

It has been nearly four months since I was inducted as your Lodge Chief, and we are off to a great start. We have been working to keep you informed and involved with the Lodge, and our work is beginning to show.

In March, we held a successful Spring Fellowship with nearly 50 people in attendance! We thank our special guests: Will Swingle, National Vice-Chief of the Order of the Arrow; Travis Cunningham, our Section Chief; and Kevin Detsch, visiting Lodge Chief from Ah’Tic Lodge 139. At the Spring Fellowship, we went bowling, went on a hike, watched movies, played video games, and ate lots of candy! It was a fun experience for everyone, and we hope this can set a precedent of fun at future events.

Coming up the weekend of May 14-16 is our Spring Ordeal. We ask that you all attend, especially ordeal members eligible for Brotherhood conversions. We will be changing our schedule a bit this year, holding our ceremonies a little earlier, giving us more time for fun and to get to know our new members. Remember, the Ordeal is the pattern of our Order; it embodies our purpose of cheerful service and brotherhood. Please make it a point to come for this weekend of fellowship and service.

Mark your calendars for June 11-13, we have Section Conclave! This year’s theme is Brotherhood Olympics. We will be going as the premier military power of Ancient Greece—Sparta! Be prepared for a lot of fun and games, we will have mud wrestling, footraces, Wii boxing, and much more! Please come out to help us show a powerful presence in our Section!

As our Lodge grows, we are looking always to work for you and the council. We want to know your ideas to improve our events and functions so that we can have fun while serving our council! We ask you to stay connected and watch what is going on in the Lodge. Connect with us on Facebook, and please remember, we are always open to suggestions about how we can run things better.

As we wrap up these first few months, I look forward to the rest of the year, expanding our horizons and serving you cheerfully.

Yours in Brotherhood,

Braden Stewart
Lodge Chief
